listen buster, she says
hand on skirt on hip
and eyes a little flashing too,
and god, she doesn't mind
being called buster, or
christ on a crutch for that matter, as
long as someone's talking, well
god just sighs that
wearisome sound like
wind through old barns,
and pulls up for
a flo-sized earful.
